My son turned four this last week, and when asked what kind of cake he would like, he responded immediately and definitely, “A taco cake!”\u00a0 I have no idea what he <\/em>thought he meant by this, but this is my interpretation.\u00a0 The “tortilla” is sponge cake; the “beans”, chocolate mousse; the “cheese” and “lettuce” (or if you prefer guacamole) are cream cheese frosting colored appropriately; and the “tomatoes” are dried strawberries.\u00a0 The taste was just as I like it, rich and not overly sweet.\u00a0 My son seemed to like it as well, though its look was just a bit too off-putting for my daughter.\u00a0 Oh well.\u00a0 You can’t make everyone happy all of the time, and it was his birthday.\u00a0 Over all I was quite proud of my ingenuity.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
