So in my last weaving post, I teased the next yarn I was looking at using, but I am always bad about writing up my projects. Here are the products of that yarn. Woven on a black warp.

The first one is a pretty simple pattern. In the second, I was experimenting with a wave stick. I think that it was not as successful as I would have liked. I think that the scarf was not broad enough to show the patterns of the waves and I played with the density of the warp towards the edges which caused some unevenness in the beat. Link to the wave stick on the image.

The next project I worked on was to blend some locks I picked up at SAFF. These were primarily mohair, teeswater with a little bit of rayon. I separated each fiber type into an equal number of pieces and blended them into each rolag to get a consistent color combination throughout all the rolags.
Once I started spinning, I used a modified long-draw and allowed for thick and thin regions. Once all the rolags were spun into a moderately thick yarn, I core- spun it with a commercial thread.
