Wheeeeee! I made my first Etsy sale. My plarn lace bag, will be leaving home on Monday. Such a sad, proud day. Ok, so I’m not even making half minimum wage on the hours I put into it, but at least my material cost wasn’t high. Setting a price for things is definitely the hardest part about selling your handiwork.

Congratulations on your sale. I so agree with you about the hours spent vs cost..One can never really recoup the money if you look at it in hours, right? I gusee for the most part we do this as a labor of love and a small incentive. A large payoff would be nice, but I have not found myself unable to charge what i think the item should be worth..
That is a lovely bag and congrats on your first sale. Each time I sell something in my Etsy shop I am totally energized. I prefer to think of it as a jolt to my creativity instead of greed or avarice. I tend to undercharge too but I’m working on it.
